If you are on the Internet to make some money, then there is no way you should skip the concept of Affiliate Marketing. In 2008, I started my career as an Affiliate Marketer for Amazon just before Christmas.

During those days, I did not have the luxury of getting a mentor or the pleasure of learning affiliate marketing through training videos and courses. But, with some luck and hard work, I was able to get a taste of my first dollar from the web. Christmas passed, and I had sold over $10,000 worth products from Amazon, from which I got a commission of around $997. I was blown!

The concept of Affiliate Marketing might sound too difficult to you, but let me give you a few tips that I have embraced over the past years that have given me the freedom to quit my 9to5 boring job and earn a full-time income selling other people's products.

Learn To Be an Affiliate Marketer, Not a Corner Variety Store

You know what I mean right? Instead of just trying to sell whatever comes your way to your audience, try to sell them something that resonates with them. For example, you have a home and lifestyle blog. If you try to sell Website Development or Hosting Related things to your audience, it might come off as a hard on and repel people from your website. People hate being sold to. They are on your website or blog for information, so you should stick to a particular niche. In my case, I already had a Home and Gardening Blog.

Remember, any product that you choose to endorse on your website, you are indirectly putting your reputation at stake. So do not just try and sell things that you have never tried or know don’t work. The first product that I affiliated was an eBook on Home and Gardening. My audience was already interested in Home and Gardening, and they were ready to buy things that I vouched for.

If you ever come across a product that does not naturally fit into your website content strategy. For example, my website was completely devoted to Home and Gardening, but outdoor toys for kids did not fit into my content strategy at all. How would I still be able to affiliate it?

Selling from your website is not the only option available…

Yes, I still managed to endorse the cute outdoor toys for kids from Amazon, by putting them up on my Pinterest Page.

I did not forcefully write a review of the toys on my website because it would look out of context with all the Gardening equipment and other tips, tricks and reviews.

This way, I was not only able to sell the products but also spread the toy love amongst my visitors, because 67% of the crowd that my blog received was married women.

Look for "Affiliate Marketing Video Courses Online" or "Affiliate Marketing Video Training" or use the source that I have tried myself. The reason I will not give you a bunch of websites is because I did not have a hard time growing my affiliate business after I joined the website that I told you about before.
